Admission to Anna Westin House
We understand that seeking residential eating disorder treatment can be challenging and sometimes feel overwhelming; we will help you every step of the way. Step 1: Starting the Process
- If you are new to The Emily Program, call our scheduling line at 651.645.5323 ext 500. We’ll collect some initial information, and then schedule an appointment for you with a member of our Intake Team.
- If you are a current client of The Emily Program, talk with your Individual Therapist, who will contact, our Admissions Coordinator, about your interest in the Anna Westin House (AWH)/Anna Westin House-Adolescent (AWHA).
- Our benefits coordinator will review your insurance information to determine coverage for your stay.

The Anna Westin House and Anna Westin House-Adolescent accept the following insurance:

We make arrangements with other insurance companies on a case-by-case basis.

Step 2. Intake Meeting with a Therapist
- You’ll complete a series of questions that help us better understand you as an individual and what’s going on for you right now. This important information helps us plan—together—the best way to help you.
- You’ll discuss the results of your assessments with one of our experienced intake therapists. Together you’ll decide what treatment options make the most sense for you.
- We schedule a phone or in-person admissions intake with the Anna Westin House/ Anna Westin House-Adolescent Admissions Coordinator to discuss your particular treatment needs and a potential admission date.
- If you are an adolescent, the intake process includes your parents and/or guardians. If you are an adult seeking admission, we also encourage you to involve family members and/or other supportive people in your intake.
- We gather important paperwork.
Step 3.The Paperwork
- If you want other professionals (e.g., your current Emily Program outpatient team, an outside therapist, your physician, etc.) involved in your care at the Anna Westin House/Anna Westin House-Adolescent, or made aware you’re being admitted, you will sign release(s) of information for them.
- You have your health care providers fax or deliver pre-admission documentation to us:

Pre-Admission Documentation:
- Laboratory Tests completed in the last 30 days for AWH and 14 days for AWHA:
- Electrolyte Chemistry Panel (including potassium, chloride, bicarbonate, phosphorus, magnesium)
- CBC with Differential
- Liver Function Panel
- Prealbumin
- Other Tests completed in the last 30 days for AWH and 14 days for AWHA:
- EKG
- Urine analysis
- Physical exam findings
- Other pertinent medical history and records, including:
- Most recent psychological evaluation/intake
- Most recent psychiatric progress note
- Most recent nutrition intake and progress note
Step 4. Establish Admission Date
- We establish your admission date and finalize the admission details.
